Together we are helping to make a small idea turn into a huge reality- together we are making incredible things happen and we are bringing smiles to the faces of parents and children who haven’t any reason to smile in a long time. Be proud of what all of you are accomplishing. Your commitment to this cause has been truly remarkable. I have full confidence in all of your efforts and I know that together we can execute relief efforts with incredible focus and determination to yield a speedier, more efficient and more coordinated relief delivery program. You are all a part of something big. You are a part of a movement. This movement is just beginning. I have provided the seeds and you are watering them every day. Over the course of time, this movement will grow into a beautiful tree. Pardon my metaphor but it is true. Be proud and stand strong to support The Sandy Claus Movement!!
In the coming weeks and months, The Secret Sandy Claus Project will be strategically coordinating relief efforts across the country into one network, called the Sandy Claus Relief Network. To help accomplish this goal, it will incumbent upon all of you to become committed volunteers to go around with volunteer sign-up sheets and collect requests for affected families in all the areas affected by this tragic storm. They will then be turned into spreadsheet formats by local organizers like you and send them back to The Secret Sandy Claus Project at secretsandyclausproject @ gmail.com. The second part and more important part of this phase is that you also MUST get all the contact info for EACH relief organization or relief effort that you can from your general networks and local vicinities.
This is how we will piece together this puzzle to accomplish the goal of SRO, a new term I am coining. It stands for Strategic Recovery Optimization. What that means is instead of having uncoordinated relief efforts going on independent of one another, a concerted effort will be made to coalesce these groups to optimize relief efforts strategically. The data collection of volunteers, donors and Sandy survivor requests will be extremely important to the next phase of this movement. Please help to spread the word and recruit other volunteers along with you to accomplish this simple yet important task. I thank you all for summoning yourselves to this cause and I am so proud of all that we have accomplished together. It truly is remarkable.
